WALTER DAY – TWIN GALAXIES FOUNDER

Long recognised as the father of international competitive gaming, the Iconic Walter Day is the founder of the Twin Galaxies International Scoreboard, initially run from Twin Galaxies Arcade located in Ottumwa, Iowa, USA.

The introduction of Walter’s creation (the Twin Galaxies Scoreboard) provided the very first platform for Arcade players to compete head to head based on score, firstly within the continental United States, and then also internationally.

As part of proceedings during the 2019 Walter Day Trading Card Ceremony at BPAC 2019, Walter was awarded with an honorary ANZAP on behalf of all Gamers within Australia and New Zealand to thank him for his efforts, dedication and focus to help identify and recognise significant achievements in the competitive gaming community.
